What started your charity work?

In New Zealand my mum was a volunteer for World Vision and as a toddler she took me to all the places she gave talks so I heard a lot about their work in Africa. It must have made an impact eventually because when I was 5 years old I announced I wanted to sponsor a child myself. The only way I could raise money was busking so that’s what I did; my parents weren’t too keen on this at first and came with me to keep an eye on things!
